  3. FAFCO’s polymer solar collectors heat the water as it is channeled through the collector array
  4. Luxuriously warm, solar heated water flows back into your pool

FAFCO solar collectors feature:

  • A patented water flow metering system that distributes water evenly for maximum efficiency
  • A patented collector design featuring almost twice as many tubes per panel as our competitors’ for maximum heating performance

Solar Pool Heating installation in Dallas

This particular installation was very difficult for many reasons. Being it was a steep, slate roof meant installers would have a difficult time handling the panels on the roof and the roof was a candidate to receive some damage. To avoid these problems I decided to rent a boom lift and luckily there was room in the backyard for it.

Here is how the roof looked before we began our installation:

When then had to bring in the boom lift, a Genie 34/20, to lift the panels on the roof:

Once the panels were placed on the roof, we used a levy system to help hold the panels in place while they were secured to the roof membrane:

After all the panels were secured to the roof, the piping configuration had to be attached as well:

Once the panels and piping configuration were on the roof, we then had to reconfigure the plumbing at the pool's equipment.

This installation took two full days to complete and was very difficuclt application, but turned out very nice. The roof and panels did not have any damage occur and more importantly neither did the installation technicians.

Anyone with a pool is a candidate to have their pool heated by solar, whether its a new pool or over 10 years old. They are also usually candidates to have the system financed if needed, especially people who are building new pools.

With new pools you have a consumer who is taking out a loan, generally in the range of 50k-100k, and putting that investment into a backyard entertainment center (for good reason too). However, whats enjoyable about only being able to use such a large investment half of the time? Generally the pool season of comfortable swimming in Dallas-Fort Worth last from about beginning of June towards the end of September. I'm not talking about pool temperatures where you re the first one in the pool and you re telling everyone "its not that bad, it just takes a little while to get used to". I'm talking about warm and comfortable swimming where you enter a pool and go for it.

Solar Pool Heating can extend your swim season comfortably from March into November in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. So when you're financing a pool it makes sense to add Solar Pool Heating to the cost of your loan. You will be DOUBLING the use of your backyard investment fot a small percentage of your pool's cost (generally 3%-7%). Solar Pool Heating systems can cool your pool water at night during the hot summer months of July- August and supplement the cost of heating your spa. All of the factors combined make Solar Pool Heating a very smart investment for pool owners in the Dallas-Fort Worth market.

Take a look at this picture:

Which pool would you rather swim in?

Pool #1- Is being heated from March to November to warm and enjoyable temperatures by using FREE heat from the sun.

Pool #2- Is NOT being heated for free and must use costly and harmful alternatives to warm the pool to the same enjoyable temperatures.

By extending your swim season with Solar Pool Heating, you are getting more use out of your pool and more return on your investment. So now ask yourself,

Which pool would you rather swim in?
